There was a failure in the Glucagon pump at the wrong time, keeping my from getting glucagon at the time a needed it.<\/p>\n
That’s the Bad News-<\/p>\n
The Good News is that the pump failures that resulted during this study have everything to do with using the off the shelf insulin pumps in a way they weren’t meant to. \u00a0They are administering boluses every 5 minutes, rather than basal. \u00a0This is good news because the next generation (shown in early post), has already dealt with these design issues.<\/p>\n
Not to mention, its a research study, meant to work out all of the kinks before it goes to market. \u00a0We have run into some hurdles, but they are already resolving them for the next phase of their research: outpatient studies.<\/p>\n
That’s a good think, but they didn’t give me any ice cream in here, and I don’t think the cord’s gonna reach too far.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
